Fredericka Meek is a "quadruple threat" (actor, singer, dancer, songwriter) whose performances run the gamut (yep, gamut) from television/film to musical/legit theatre and pop/rock. Fredericka just completed an exciting run as one of two "Coquettes" performing with Conan O'Brien in his "Legally Prohibited from Being Funny on Television" Tour. She recently was a featured vocalist in an HIV/AIDS Awareness benefit near to her heart- "The Silence Is Broken," produced and directed by Patrick Gandy and starring Loretta Devine and T.C. Carson. Recipient of an NAACP Theatre Award for Best Supporting Actress, this rising star is also one of the founders and member of an incredibly unique all female sketch comedy group, "BoomChickBoom." Through her production compny, HeyGurrrrRrl Productions, BoomChickBoom recently headlined at the Los Angeles Comedy Festival, will be launching their sketch-isodes on BCBTV and is in talks for a television development deal. She also completed 2 seasons of a semi-scripted internet series for Comedy Central, "Paradise Drive." Additional TV/film credits include guest spots on Fox TV's Head Cases, NBC's Passions, ABC's General Hospital and Nickelodeon's All That, as well as the festival-winning films Nothing Doing, Massage Therapy and El Mariachi Negro, where she portrayed Heidi, a feisty bilingual Bolivian. Theatre includes Little Shop of Horrors, The Bubbly Black Girl Sheds Her Chameleon Skin, Body Language: The Musical, Sheba and Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. A Viacom spokesperson, Fredericka filmed a series of HIV/AIDS-awareness PSA's. Performing in such exotic locales as India, Chile, Hawaii and Japan, she has shared the stage vocally with such music legends as Stevie Wonder, Barry Manilow, Cheryl Lynn, Berry Gordy, Smokey Robinson and Ollie Woodson (former Temptation). She has also performed with rock/metal sensation Marilyn Manson, European pop star Bosson, and R&B great Dave Hollister.
